Learning Spanish

Four weeks of camp fun and the vitality of Spanish culture and language will surround campers. You will develop your Spanish language skills through a variety of camp activities, sports, games, cooking, film-making, and camp cultural programs. You will also explore the cultures of many Spanish-speaking countries as you learn traditional games, songs, dances, and art forms.

Having Fun with Spanish

Whether it is the Saturday night dance party to Latin music, or creating costumes for the Inca Festival, Spanish summer camp is a paradise of language learning in the context of larger group activity. One night's dinner is an all-Argentina night with Asado, alfajores, and mate. The next day, read the legend of mate in Spanish and recreate the legend for a camp-wide performance. By week's end, the camp newspaper is filled with photos of the camp and captions you have written.
