Testimonials

Colorado Springs, CO

Middlebury has such a good reputation for languages and our junior son would love to learn Chinese. Until now, I have been so disappointed that you had no high school program.  Again, thanks.

Grades and Credit

We do not give grades. We focus on your language learning and ability to use language successfully in varied contexts.

You'll receive pre- and post-program evaluations of your language ability, a certificate of completion, and a summary of curriculum and material covered. In addition, you'll also receive information on MMLA faculty credentials and both sponsoring organizations, which you can present to your school for consideration if you want to move ahead in your language study.

How do I measure my progress?

Being able to measure your progress is important so we do conduct a brief assessment of each student before MMLA begins and near the end of the four weeks at MMLA. Your language progress will be readily evident, and this assessment is for you to use for your ongoing language learning, or to demonstrate progress to your regular school.

At MMLA, confirming student progress is as important to us as it is to students. We carefully design our curriculum and select faculty to maximize student learning and camp fun, and measurement of progress helps us refine our program and staff.
